I'm trying to practice my drawing skill again today. So, I clean up my old wacom tablet and do a quick sketch of P.Ramlee being the 40 Thief's Leader in Ali Baba Bujang Lapok movies. It is an old school movies. But still, it is more popular than the latest movies. I plug my wacom on my Ubuntu PC and draw this using GIMP. I found the background on my downloaded stocks and tweak it to this drawing so it looks grungy. Hope you like it I'm thinking about changing this blog layout too... maybe later.

Azlan a.k.a LamCha is my old best friend who love fishing and outdoor activity. I really missed the time we went out for hiking, camping and climbing. Today, I steal one of his facebook photo and draw it on Facebook Graffiti Wall. I need more practice on this . Here's the result... enjoy... Did you remember my sketch of my sister's daughter , Adawiyah on my very first post of this blog? This is another sketch of Adawiyah, and this time it is on Facebook Graffiti Wall . and as usual.. let's replay.. heheh I'm tired to finish the details. It's already 4 AM... I can't save and continue the drawing because Facebook Graffiti Wall haven't had that features. So, this is all I can do for 2 hours...

I like sketching and drawing . Normally, I'm using pencil or pen on paper for my sketches. After sketching, I will scan it or take a photo of it and post to forum where I can get comments to improve my artwork. But recently, I'm a bit inspired to do it directly in Adobe Photoshop . So, I decided to use Wacom Graphire3 Pen Tablet for my digital sketch. The Bruce Lee and Adawiyah sketches is my testing on this Wacom . Pretty difficult at the beginning because I have to train my pen pressure and movement because the nib and eraser are also sensitive to 512 pressure levels, so the harder you press the stronger and thicker the strokes will be. That's why the results looks rough. So, I'm still training my self to hold it not too light or too heavy. Some friends told me to put a sheet of paper over the tablet so I can feel like doing it on paper. But the drawback is, it will quickly eat my pen nib and I don't want to spend much on that.
