Xventour is a brand for extreme sports & outdoor activity group in Malaysia which is founded in year 2000. It begins with a bunch of crews from Outdoor & Recreational Club of UiTM Machang, Kelantan who loved this kind of sports activity somewhere around year 1997. Since then, this group of people have been actively doing private hiking, kayaking, wall & rock climbing, white water rafting, snorkeling, camping, mountain bike and so on. Just tell them which mountain of Malaysia you wanna go, they are the experts who you can rely on. Last week, the chief of this team asked me to re-design this brand logo. I feel honored to design their brand logo. So, after several design works, this is my first proposal. I hope they will love it. In this design, I'm highlighting the X as the brand icon and embed a mountain shape at the bottom of the X. Even thou this team are expert in mountain hiking, the same mountain symbolism in this logo would give a lot of meanings like their ...

Back in 2009, I've designed OSDC.my Logo and it is until now being use as the official Open Source Developer Club Malaysia (OSDC.my) logo. As usual, I will share the Inkscape source file where you can download and use it in your flyers, website or any promotional media, as long as it is for promoting OSDC.my as is. I didn't follow KOSTEM Mailing List much since I was so busy working offline on sites. So, I heard that they finally decided to use my logo design as the official KOSTEM logo . So, as promised, here is the Inkscape source file for the logo. Download KOSTEM Logo Inkscape Source Hope you like it. For those who would like to use my Logo & Branding Design Service, please comment here and leave your contact information. I will contact you as soon as I receive your message.

KOSTEM stands for Koperasi Sumber Terbuka Malaysia Berhad which will be the first cooperative organization that supports open source movement in Malaysia. This is my first suggestion for KOSTEM logo: The idea originates from Open Source logo which is green and look like a disc. I'm adding hands to that original open source logo which make it looks like human body with raised hands. The image of human with raised hands means freedom. Then, I align the logo to look like Malaysian official flower, The Hibiscus to put Malaysian sense to the logo. And finally, an open padlock in the middle which means, we are an open community. The original Open Source Logo If you like it, please vote for it to be the first KOSTEM logo. If you have any other opinions, feel free to leave your comment here.

I was asked to design logo for osdc.my . OSDC.my is Open Source Developers’ Conference which is a conference designed for developers, by developers. It covers numerous programming languages across a range of operating systems. Talks vary from introductory pieces through to the deeply technical. With three talks on at any time, spanning over three days; there is bound to be something of interest to any developers. Here's some draft... the first logo won the vote but I feel like it is too simple. So, I'm playing with other new design... and this one with different eye color (mouse deer head)... I'm still trying to get some more design out of my head. ** Logo design using Inkscape Vector Graphics Editor and GIMP.
